This product was recommended to me initially by my facialist at The Sally Hershberger Face Place in Manhattan's Meat Packing District.I was told it was an excellent cream for moisturizing and for treating signs of pre-mature aging (wrinkles).I bought my first tube, used it for about 8 weeks and was very pleased with the results.Shortly thereafter I received a gift certificate for the Ohm Spa on 5th Avenue in Manhattan and booked a facial.The facialist at Ohm Spa asked me about my regular skin care routine and when I mentioned my use of Dermalogica's Skin Smoothing Cream she told me it was an excellent product and shared that she personally used it twice daily as a regular moisturizing cream.The Ohm Spa facialist went on to say that I should continue my established skin care routine as it was clearly working very well and my skin had a healthy and fresh glow.

Based on my experience with the product and two endorsements from excellent facialists in Manhattan, I would certainly recommmend Dermalogica's Skin Smoothing Cream to anyone fighting dry skin or pre-mature aging.While a 3.4 ounce tube can cost up to $65 at spas in Manhattan, I was able to purchase the same tube of cream from Queen Bee Supply on Amazon for just under $40.

The product lasted for exactly 3 uses.When I purchased the first can of this product, I used it once, put it away with the cap on-then the next day--no more product--the can was empty and no longer sprayed!I returned it to my salon and received a replacement can, under the impression it was defective.Nearly the same thing happened with the next can--3 uses and I can hear some product when I shake--but it will no longer spray!It feels nearly empty anyway! The only "dirty secret" about this product is that the packaging SUCKS!The actual product that I was able to use was pretty great and worked as it advertised- but the way it is dispensed is the problem.I will return to using baby powder/cornstarch for the same effect--only much cheaper!!!

When I bought the Artec Red Clover Color Depositing Shampoo and Conditioner, all I was hoping for was a product that would not further fade my bright bottle-red hair.

I used the products according to the instructions: shampoo with a color protecting shampoo (I used Paul Mitchell's Color Protect Shampoo), rinse, then shampoo with Artec Red Clover Color Depositing Shampoo, rinse, then apply Artec Red Clover Color Depositing Conditioner, rinse.

Right after rinsing out the conditioner, I noticed immediately how smooth may hair felt wet. When I started blow drying, though, I couldn't believe my eyes (or my fingers); not only had the Artec products no further faded my red hair, but they actually put some of the color back in that I'd lost during previous shampoos. These products actually do DEPOSIT COLOR! They leave your hair feeling fantastic, too, which is no surprise: as my colorist says, your hair feels the best when its chock-full of color.

I highly recommend this product for anyone who has bottle-red hair and has trouble with it fading out. Mine fades so fast that I really only have the true color between when it's professionally colored and the first time I wash it. These products have changed that!

PS, if you can't find this stuff, that's because L'Oreal has taken it over and is marketing it under the L'Oreal name - try searching for it that way!

Review of Klorane Shampoo Dry 3.2oz. Oat Extract

But I have to admit, I didn't care for this product. Recently, I have used

1. bumble + bumble
2. Pssssst!
3. Algemarin dry shampoo
4. Klorane

Klorane is my least favorite. I don't like the way it makes your hair feel. With Pssssst! and the Algemarin, your hair feels soft and not greasy. This stuff makes it feel kind of dry and stiff and not really clean. Smell is OK. Pick the Algemarin; nice smell. Sadly, Pssssst! no longer has a scent. They decided to release the unscented version,. Algemarin is more like pssssst and doesn't leave a lot of white stuff in your hair. I think the particles on the Klorane are bigger, therefore they not only show more, but don't really do the job as well as they could.

P.S. there is a technique to using dry shampoo and if you are anything but grey haired or blonde, you need to follow the "rules." First, never spray it on hair that will be the outer hairs of your "do" meaning don't spray it where you plan to part your hair. Spray it just underneath it. Second after spraying, take a towel and towel rub it through your hair. Then take a soft BRISTLE brush and brush your hair till all the white is gone and it looks more normal. Wipe off any remaining "white" residue with a damp washcloth. Style as usual!

Like most women, I carried a a flat iron in my hair care arsenal that was from Wal Mart or Target. Point being, it was under 25 bucks and it straightened my hair. My sister in law who is a salon stylist did my hair with this PM Smoothing iron. My hair was a flat and smooth as Jennifer Aniston's and was just gorgeous.

I have been using this product for several years now and have found it to be the best available for long lasting truest color. It is a salon quality product and isn't available in local drug stores, etc. I have been very happy with the results. It should be noted that unlike boxed hair coloring, you have to buy the developer separately and mix it in an applicator bottle, which is reusable. Even though it is initially more money than the single box a bottle of developer will last through three or more colorings. Overall it is cheaper.

I have had 5 different hot air brands.Three broke within 6 months.One was totally useless (clumsy, didn't hold your hair and didn't have the power to dry it).The Ceramic Tools brush is the best.It is very sturdy, showing no signs of weakening power or intermittant failures after a year. It holds the hair firmly and is a good diameter for my chin length hair.It is capable of drying my hair even if it is quite wet, although I usually use it on damp hair.My only complaint is that it does not have a warm temperature.In high and low,it is hot.Other than that, it's great.

I found this three years ago and I don't know what I'd do without it!I used to have the most awful looking hair.I'd straighten it, but as soon as I stepped out of the door, my hair was fuzzy, curly, and frizzy again.I had accepted this would be part of my life and then I moved to a new town and found a new hairstylist a few months later.She let me try this, and now my hair looks like the models on tv.My hair stays straight, even on rainy days.It makes it smooth and shiny.I love this product.It seems that the curling iron or straightening iron REALLY bring out this products ability.My hair looks great when I just use a blow dryer, but it looks fabulous when I use the straightening iron too.And then all that hard work isn't down the drain when I get out of my car to go to work!I can't find any stores in my area that carry it and I don't know what I'll do if they ever stop carrying it.It is a miracle product.

Review of Solano Wood Comb * #1 Rake, 7.25" Rake With Handle

I have owned a few wooden combs and this is my least favorite. Even though I have thick wavy hair and generally benefit from wide tooth combs, this one has such broad bristles that it becomes rather cumbersome and ineffective at detangling. The teeth are shaped strangely and it the shape doesnt seem to give me any positive results so I cannot guess at the purpose of the design. This comb feels a bit like running fingers through hair, which in my case does not result in a polished look. I would only advise purchasing this comb if you have curly hair and want a comb to use in the shower. I would not use this comb on dry hair as any number of combs would do a better job of combing dry hair. I generally prefer wooden combs, but the unfinished wood and odd shape of the teeth in this one causes it to be far less effective at spreading natural oils than most wooden combs I have used.

Note- If you have never used a wooden comb, it is my experience that you can opt for slightly more narrow teeth than what your synthetic combs have because wooden combs are gentler and often have thicker teeth.

I ordered this shampoo while I was in Texas not too long ago.I tried looking for it in local stores but was unable to find it.My hairdresser here in Moscow recommended this particular brand for hair that is falling out.I have long hair and was really freaking out about the amount of hair that was coming out.As soon as I started using this brand I was amazed!Within a week my drain was completely hair free!It is truly a revolutionary product for anyone that is encountering the problem of hair falling out. So my cousin had the MK3 version and I thought why not try it, she likes it. Well I got my GHD yesterday and LOVED it. I am a black woman who is trying very hard to let go of getting relaxers. So I took the plunge with this iron. I washed and dried my hair and then took section by section and straightened my hair with this iron. I thought this would be a time-consuming process but it turned out to be quick and painless. I was able to flat iron my hair in about 20 minutes. This same feat with a regular flat iron would have taken over an hour. The other great feature of this iron is that it senses what your hair needs re: heat, so you don't over heat your hair and potentially burn it out - I've been known to do this as well. Also I chose not to use the GHD hair products because I use Carol's Daughter ([...]) hair products and they worked FANTASTIC with this flat iron! Happy Buying.

It works well, I notice I get issues when I have too much fat in my diet. It's not 100% natural, but I have issues with the tea tree (slightly allergic) which also works for the issue & definitely make sure you get on scalp rather then getting on the hair as letting it sit on the hair for a few minutes will dry out the hair a bit.
This is much better then their scented version which has Pine Tar which at close proximity can make you smell like a "burnt forest" or "pine scented car freshener" lol

Facts:
- The barrel is not made of ceramic and tourmaline.
- The barrel is a metal barrel covered with a ceramic/tourmaline coating.
(I was cleaning the barrel when I noticed there was a small mark where the coating happened to chip off of the barrel.)

- The ceramic/tourmaline coating did not perform as advertised even in conjunction with anti-frizz and anti-humidity products.
- The spring for the iron is extremely loose.
- The On/Off button is poorly placed.
- The heat setting button is poorly placed.
- The iron does heat up very well; however, the tip of the iron is not insulated from the heat, which makes it almost unusable if you are accessing one of the higher heat settings.
- The curling iron stand is not insulated, which may present a possibility for a burn if you are not aware.

The curling iron did curl my hair beautifully, but the curl did not last once I stepped outside.It did not matter if the weather condition outside was dry or humid, the curl simply did not last.I have used this curling with Kenra Thermal Spray and Matrix sleek.look Iron Smoother on separate occasions; both are good, salon quality products.I received the same results when using the Curlmaster curling iron I purchased from a local Sally's Beauty store.

It is possible another user may encounter better results since hair types are so varied; however, I would not recommend this curling iron in general because it is falsely advertised as a tourmaline infused ceramic barrel, when it is not, the coating appears to be composed of tourmaline and ceramic and should be clearly advertised as such, and because it does not produce the results, again as advertised.

For a year now I have been a downright junkie to my Chi straightener. I disliked that it singed my hair, and my hands as well. Jose Eber's team was at the Houston Rodeo and talked me into buying their tourmaline straightener. I told them kindly that my Chi was perfect in every way but they insisted on SHOWING me their straightener. I sat down and agreed. The crowd around me touched my hair and commented on how it was like silk. I too liked the feel, and the ease of usage without snagging in the plates. They sold me one with red plates. Certainly not my color, but it was all they had left. I got home with it and after lamenting on the ugly red color, I tried it. Perfect. My hair is like silk and everyone claims it looks more shiny and healthy. I ask people if they can see a difference from weeks ago and they said, yes. I said, well weeks ago I was using the Chi. This product outdoes the Chi and it even carries a lifetime warranty. I think it, and the 19mm curling iron my mom bought take a bit longer to heat up than the Chi, but oh well. I can get ready and then head to the bathroom to do my hair in a few minutes.

I think that this is the only hairdye that I have ever done myself that actually stayed. the color is so rich, and looks like you got it done at a salon. All you have to buy is the developer to mix with it. Box hairdye doesn't work as well as these professional lines. I know this product will work well for me.It refreshes my scalp & helps with the dryness & itching that winter weather can wreak on it.However, I do need to warn the public that if you use this conditioner in conjuction with the Abba Pure Color Protect Shampoo (aka Creme Moist Shampoo), the smell is horrendous.You might as well be washing your dirty dog because that's what it smelled like.I will try the Abba Pure Basic Conditioner in conjuction with another product next time....hopefully I won't stink. :)

I own the set of Babyliss brushes and i thought i just can't style my hair( long layers), that i wasn't skilled enough for it. But when i got these i realize that there is nothing wrong with my hands, i had the wrong brushes. Rubbed handles are really comfortable and you hands don't get tired of rolling them all the time. The brushes get your hair easyly and don't scratch you scalp at all. Now i feel sorry for spending $36 on Babyliss brushes. I highly recommend this set. It just great!
